Graveyard Book
Hi, people and welcome to the final issue of Traf Trash! This time I will be reviewing the novel The Graveyard Book. It is written by Neil Gaiman, who is also the author of Coraline.

The story’s plot follows the life of Nobody Owens, a boy raised by ghosts. When Nobody was just a baby, a man killed his family and attempted to kill him as well, when a couple who just happened to be ghosts rescued him.

The ghost couple had never had children, so they decide to raise Nobody (also known as Bod), as though he was their own, even though he’s alive. Bod learns how to talk, to write, to read and even acquires some skills that ghosts use, such as Fading and Dreamwalking. Bod is allowed to do whatever he wants, on one condition. He must never ever leave the graveyard.

But as Bod gets older, he becomes more and more curious. Why has he been raised by ghosts? Why can’t he leave the graveyard? What happened to his biological parents? Over time, Bod gets more and more information about his past from the other graveyard inhabitants, until he hears about Jack, the man who killed his family.

Now Bod must leave his home that has protected him for so long to face the man who killed his family. But when he leaves, he realizes that the danger he must face is even greater than he imagined.

The book is really unique. Just like Coraline, it’s a little scary but intriguing at the same time. You know what I mean?

If you’re a fan of Coraline, you’ll really like this book and if you like Neil Gaiman’s books, I’m sure you’ll be happy to hear that’s he’s written another 9 novels!

AND GUESS WHAT? The book I’m reviewing is at the Traf library! I KNOW!! IT’S LIKE THE BEST THING EVER!!!

Note from Ms. G: Bring back all your books and borrow it for the summer!
