Book Review: Silent to the Bone by E.L. Konigsburg
This is the story about two best friends, Connor and Branwell. When Branwell is wrongly accused of hurting his baby half-sister, Nikki, he is struck dumb and unable to tell what really happened. Connor is sure his best friend couldn't have done this horrible crime. He then sets out on a mission to discover the truth. This involves a unique way of communication between the boys and all the different people who become involved in this very twisted mystery. Luckily, he is helped by his father and his trusty, loving half-sister, Margaret.
This was a book that will keep you hooked from the first word. You will not want to put the book down because you will always want to know what happens next. This is a coming of age book that shows the humanity in adolescents, the true power that emotions have on people and the bonds of a strong friendship that can't be broken.
